Navigating Change with Resilience and Agency

Staying grounded when work is shifting

Why It Matters

Ongoing change can drain energy, erode confidence, and leave people feeling reactive rather than capable. When individuals lack tools to manage uncertainty, productivity and collaboration suffer across teams. Organizations that support employees in developing resilience and self-advocacy create a workforce that adapts more quickly and remains effective through all kinds of change.

Course Description

This session explores how unconscious bias develops and how it can influence workplace communication, decision-making, and collaboration. PaCareerstone’s workshop focuses on how individuals experience change and how to respond with intention rather than frustration or withdrawal. Participants explore practical ways to manage their own reactions, stay focused on what they can influence, and communicate effectively during periods of transition. The session emphasizes personal responsibility, emotional awareness, and everyday leadership. Participants learn strategies to communicate proactively and to feel more confident in navigating change.

Key Focus Areas

Participants will explore and practice:

  • Recognize personal patterns in response to change, including stress responses, assumptions, and habits that can either help or hinder effectiveness
  • Strengthen self-advocacy and communication, learning how to raise concerns and ask for support in ways that build understanding rather than tension
  • Navigate ambiguity with intention, using practical techniques to adapt when answers are incomplete
  • Build day-to-day resilience, increasing flexibility, confidence, and the ability to support peers through shared transitions

Participants leave with greater confidence in their ability to handle change thoughtfully and communicate clearly, strengthening their own experience and the broader organizational culture.
