Coaching Skills for Managers

Develop people through conversation, not just supervision

Why It Matters

Many managers are promoted because of their expertise, yet leading others requires a different set of skills. Employees grow most when managers move beyond directing work to developing people. A coaching approach helps leaders strengthen performance, increase accountability, and build trust while supporting employees’ growth. Organizations benefit when managers know how to guide learning, address challenges constructively, and help their teams reach their potential.

Course Description

This workshop helps managers build practical coaching skills they can use in everyday interactions with their employees. Participants explore how to ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and guide employees toward their own solutions rather than immediately providing answers. The session also addresses how coaching can reinforce strengths, support development, and address performance challenges with clarity and respect.
